I hear ya buddy.

I got the exact same problem!! Wont fold inwards but will fold back outwards. And also I've noticed that if i manually fold it in it will return to it's normal position ie. out quicker than my drivers side mirror. Does everyones fold out at the same speed??

I wanna know a fix too because the sound it makes when i manually push it in hurts my ears!

stripped

Post by dstocks »

Sounds like it is either stripped, misalligned or the motor is not working in one direction. Probably not saying anything you dont already know im afraid.

Best take it apart and have a look.

Another tip not in the DIY.
      When at this point-
      Image

Bend the contacts upwards by 1 to 2 mm where they meet the board. With usage, vibrations, etc. these contacts can bend downwards giving less contact on the tracks, if any at all.
You'd be surprised how many problems with mobile phones are caused by using the same kinda contacts.
