The reading light comes on whenever the door is opened, as does the door open light. so either your door is lose, or the button on the inside of the door that goes in when the door closes is fooked. or possibly there is some loose wiring somewhere.

Same deal here.

The lights all go on when the left window is wound down... which would be illegal for my car as all the lights have been changed to neons and such. Which are only legally allowed to go on when the doors open... aside from looking retarded also.

I don't like neons a whole heap but I deal with it... luckily there's a switch to disable them on the dash. They're perma off till I take the time to pull the door apart and look at it... no idea how to even start pulling the door apart amusingly. I'm sure it's not too hard but it's just getting around to do it... it's like one of those things I should have done around the house 3 months ago ;)

there's a diy on completefto for taking your door apart, it's simple as hell once u see the instructions (i felt so stupid after a couple of hrs staring at the door then seening the instructions, took maybe 15mins each door if that).
with that said... i'm sure i read somewhere on here that the switch thingo isnt actually in your door but on the frame.... could be wrong, cbf to look it up though lol

Haha yeah... I was thinking about that after I posted. I coulda sworn the switch was on the car frame rather then the door itself... then that confused me as to why the hell the light comes on when the window opens as that would suggest an issue in the door not otherwise? 8O I'm confused as hell now :D

I guess the best way to stop being confused is to just attack both places and see what I can uncover. I'll rip the door apart tommorow night. AS well as refit the stereo a bit... not quite happy with where it sits haha, I can see many many nights of pulling the car apart on the horizon.

If I find my issue, I'll take photos of before and after my "duck tape" fix ;) haha Hopefully I can fix it better then that ;)

You might also need to adjust the doors a bit, maybe they aren't closing properly.
LED ALL the things.

I pulled apart the door and looked at the switch tonight, couldn't seem to find anything wrong with either... both seem to work fine (when the windows up). Lower the window and any movement from the car and the lights will go on... sit still and the lights can go off... sometimes. Seems like a 50/50 chance.

However when the window (passenger) is down, and you're moving, it's like a 99.99% (may flicker) chance that the interior lights will go on... when it's up its 100% off. Frustrating as hell :D

The fact it works fine when the window is up makes me think it's not a door slightly ajar issue - in my case at the very least.

Allmost tempted to just get an auto electrician to look at it, my dad knows a top one that wont rip me off for something bloody simple.

Still, I'll buggerise around for a month before I'll give up trying to fix it

:P

well if u think it's the window, have a look around and see if the arms (thingos that hold the window up/moves it down) are touching anything that they r not supposed to.

btw does the light still come on/flicker if the engine isnt on (and u r parked)

My girlfriends fto has exact same problem. When passenger window is down light comes on, if its fully up it seems to help the problem bur it will still come on sometimes. Am going to pull apart and have a look for her today.
