Blocked windscreen spray nozzle

Post by alku83 »

I think my rear windscreen spray nozzle is blocked, as nothing comes out of it anymore. I hear the noise, but see no water...anything I can do to attempt to fix this?

Yeah, just chuck it into a glass of boiling water. That helps to dissolve any contaminants in it. Usually its a build up of wax & other cleaning products that does it. Worse case scenario, get some wire off a wire brush or similar & poke the crap out when its still warm.

Awesome. Well I started attempting to take off the rear wiper/nozzle but got a bit stuck. I've listed the little plastic lid and undone the first bolt, but then I don't seem to be able to get any further. Is the actual wiper meant to lift off at that stage? It seems to be attached pretty solidly. I can see there's another large bolt underneath but I can't get to that one (presumably) until I remove the wiper.

I'm going about the right way to remove the nozzle...right?

I used a sewing needle for mine, easy job and you can re-angle the jets at the same time if they aren't aligned :)

When that happens to me it is usually because it has frozen
