Weird Drum Brake Noise While Braking

Post by Nacho »

Ok just spent 12 hours installing new bushes and swaybar and now i've got scraping noise and the high pitch whiny noise while braking similar to if you have drum brakes.

My initial thought is the brake cover scraping which I moved but it's still there. I'm guessing when I brake it pushes the disc up against the brake cover.

Any insight on this? Or anyone had it before?

you probably have the cover on the back of your disc scrapping on the rear of disk.

Does it usually happen when your braking and turning?

Yeah good point.......didn't even think about maybe pads need changing. Noise is gone now when I moved the brake disc cover out of the way but I will look at the brake pads as well when I have time. Thanks Ben!
