Photo Enhancing

Hey guys, just a thought...

does anyone know of any programs that can do photo enhancing like what they do on tv shoes etc? u knwo where they freeze frame on a video and enhance it so they can make out the face properly and stuff?

there's only so much that photoshop and paint shop can do

nuh, it's a long story, basically i have a video and need to find out if the ppl in it are the ppl that it says it is. i've already changed the whole video to picture format (thank god that it's not a long video lol)

and so far all i can do is light, colour, contrast balance etc... to the pictures, although it has help dramatically, but i need to image to be sharper ("sharpen" on photo/paint shop just cant do the trick lol)

Such a thing only exists in tv show's, you simply cannot see detail which isn't stored in the original digital image.

lol fair enough, i sorta knew that, but i'm after something that can clean the image up for me and sharpen it up without making the picture look spastic.
i guess my question is: is there any programs avaliable that's more suited to doing these kind of thing than photo shop etc?

I've seen people do quite simply amazing jobs of sharpening up images in photoshop. I was actually shocked and I use it every day. I can't remember the exact steps but it involved making (resizing) images huuuuuuuge applying several filters resizing smaller applying seval filters again ... and repeating the process or something.

Gah my memory sucks, was a few years back.

While no, you can't create detail that isn't there you can certainly clean up some of the artifacting... it's still a mathematical guess (aided by the human eye) on behalf of photoshop but you'd be surprised at the results imho.

I was pretty impressed at this guys skill at doing it.

I went back to my office after watching and failed to duplicate the results that he showed me. Guess there is some skill to it

I got it looking better... but just not the extent that he had.

I reckon you had a photo taken whist you were in your budgie smugglers and you want to make your little guy look bigger..

You are correct.

He probably should have accused you of not being able to find it and needing to zoom in and clean up the photos to such an extent as to locate it ... so you could go to the loo.

Ok.

I have come to the following conclusion:

As a lot of us have suspected, Borep... how shall I put it... "Bats for the wrong team".

He was sitting at home on mardi gras night due to a terrible rash, and was watching the event on TV wishing he could be there. He saw somebody who looked like this partner, "dancing" with another male. So he hit the record button on his TV, and is trying to catch his partner red handed.
Borep's worry was doubled when his partner came home limping. (Whatever may have caused that).

anyways, sorry guy, i over reacted, but honestly i'm actually quite proud of myself. 4 jugs of beer and 2 long island ice teas (i think i vowl to never touch that stuff everytime i drink it, but i keep going back...

i'll learn someday i guess lol) later, can't really remember how i got home but i still managed to type all of that without drunken typos. sure i over reacted but hey screw you guys
