Okay, I suggest that anyone having problems with their car first try this;
http://www.ftowa.com/html/workshop/workshopart07.html
It doesn't take long, is fairly easy and gives a good headstart on finding out about what the problem is.
I did it recently after I noticed my car was running pretty crap after having the timing belt replaced & a general service (they also replaced the air filter) It had no power & was using A LOT more fuel than usual. The error codes i got back were;
62 Intake air control valve position sensor
64 Alternator FR terminal
Had the bonnet up last night & I think I found the problem with the Intake air control valve position sensor - Turns out that the mechanics when they replaced the air filter, didn't connect a little hose that branches off from the stock air intake pipe and attaches onto a pipe which I guess runs into the air flow sensor?
Ever since I reattached that my car has been running like it used to & its at least one problem that I don't have to get a mechanic to "Fix" & end up getting charged a fortune just for them to reconnect a hose.
Still have to check out the problem with the Alternator FR Terminal, but i think I will book it into where I got the alternator reconditioned a while back as it should still be under warranty (I hope) and they should fix it for free right?
Anyways, hope this helps anyone who has, or gets the same problem with their car.
