Outside Window Sill Rubber

Post by gazeek »

My FTO came over this last year , but it has some rubber wear ... The rubbers all in tact , but it looks like some sort of sap or weather damage on it ... I tried scraping it off , but it just eats in to the rubber ...

I want it to look all shiny like the inside rubber again :( iv tried , big kevs goo remover and scraping with a knife , but no good ...

Anyone got any suggestions on bringing some life back ??

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia

Could try WD40... 'tis useful for all kinds of stuff ..

Also, you could try Clark Rubber for the seals & stuff, I was talking to the manager there the other day and they said they can get anything ordered in, or you could try a specialist automotive rubber shop.

OR

You could get a can of black spray paint and spray the door trims .... Probably not the rubber parts as the paint will likely crack and break off with the flex...
