Who gave you this idea that if its inlet only then is VTEC YO!!!!!? VTEC YO!!!!! are Honda, not Mitsubitsu.
Most Variable Value Timing vehicles are inlet only during the 90's, only a few have both in and out, but mainly for marketing purpose and don't do much.

Well i was just curious and it was for my own good. Im only learning about this stuff. I am not 100% all that so i like to find out info thats what i am on here for. We all learn something new everyday.

The FTO has both Variable Valve timing and lift on both Intake and Exhaust as in the pic, top cam is the intake and bottom is the exhaust, both have the same gear, also another sign is that the cams both have the low speed and high speed cam lobs.
As the pic clearly demonstates the GPX has it on both intake and exhaust...thanks bigpitty1 for that pic.
I too was of the impression it was on on the intake but I did know the new versions of MIVEC we not as cool (aparently) and maybe this is what they wer eon about...
it also has lift control....
It was a good read, i didnt understand how it all worked...its quite cool actually.

I think there were a lot of VTEC YO!!!!!'s with only on the intake, like there SOHC VTEC YO!!!!!'s and possible also there non sporty cars for example any thing that was not a TYPE R.
I think they still do this with there new cars as well like the DC5 integra, the base model only had VTEC YO!!!!! on the intake while the TYPE R had it on both.
