When you say "looking out for" do you mean what style? or what size etc?

well you don't wanna go over 18". so 17 or 18 it would have to be. Just remember, depending on the size of your tyres, you're speedometer will be off from it's original settings (as you're covering more ground with bigger tyres and you're speedo is designed for 16" stock tyres)

Eg: I got 18x7.5 with 215/35.. I should have gone 225/35 but by going 215, my speedo is only off by 0.6Kms.. if I had gone with the 225s then I would be off by about 1.9Kms or so

here's a tyre/rim calculator so you know exactly what you're speedo will be off by.

As for the style of rims, nobody except you should decide that.

I had 18's on my old FTO 225/35 but now i got 17's on this one and you get a lot less if not no scrubbage at all with the 17's. I had to remove the mud gaurds inside the wheel arch when i had 18's coz it sounded terrible when i'd turn a corner.

By the way is it legal for two inches above stock rims :?:

Term your looking for is offset. Good wheel and tyre places know what will fit. If they're not sure they can ring the distributors.

Think it depends on which state your in. Increase by 2 In over stock is the limit in SA.
I've got 18x8 rims with 225/35 tyres on. No probs with mine.

Legally you can only go up 1 inch, but you won't have many probs, it's barely noticable and 18" looks just right. I've got 18s, never had any problems since they look a perfect fit.

By the way, about the scrubbing issue, I got the only tyre combination that wouldn't scrub so I have no problems at all with scrubbing.

The correct offset for the FTO is 38. Anything higher will have the rims sitting further in toward the inside of the car and a lower offset will stick them out more. Personally I would go for the later but not have them closer together since that doesnt look nearly as nice.

Better check with your insurer too, as most ins company's will viod your policy with anyuthing over 2 inches, not that that would be a problem for you Ha ha

wont spacers put all the load on the wheel nuts and not the hub?

sure recipie for disaster if your taking urs on the track with spacers....assume u will fix thatwith new wheels.

I have seen 2 wheels come off in the past year form using spacers on the track.

hey guys, i know there's whole thign on wheel size etc, but i just wanted to double check :)

5 x 114.3

235/45xZR17 17 x 8 +38 offset

255/40xZR17 17 x 8 +32 offset

would 235/45/17 +38offset fit on the back?
and would something like 225/40 fit on an 8" wide rim without looking stupid?

I'm worried about the offsets especially.

i know the PCD is right...

any help please?

I have heard of a few people getting 20"s on their FTO, I think they just removed the plastic splash guards from under the wheel arches.
LED ALL the things.

However they sit about 3 feet off the ground and look spastic.
They would get scrubbing on corners bad as

If you need good deal on photography, let me know.

17"s would be as big as i would go, but 18"s would definately be fine, i just dont see the point of massive rims, i'm only going to 17"s because i want to leave room for me to upgrade brakes (for when i do the evo conversion)

besides i cant roll around on 16 nissan rims all my life lol

Yeah sam... I dunno though, my car is 10cm off the ground and I'm on 18's.. not sure 19's would raise it too much more... an inch? I'm pretty low and on 18's... If I cut out the guards like said... might not be much higher... hrmn. Just a risk of defects I guess ... bah.

I like huge assed wheels

Boss has 20's on his car but yeah I think those come with 18's standard :P

Bunch of tossers LOL

Go for width not height! Go for a 20 inch & you'll only be able to shoehorn a 205 onto it. You want traction not bling.
