The results are in !! just had a leco look at it .. seems to be.. that the main cable from the starter motor which travels up to the battery was jammed between the gearbox and the engine and thats where it was rubbin. cos only recently i hadmy gearbox out when puttin it back up i obviusly jammed it in. so im now fixin this crap then callin old mate back to do some tests . goto replace the earthin cable and the main one :S nad buy a new battery .. well thanks for your help guys if this happens to you id advise you to check if your wires are jammed between anything

Having had a second lok at your pictures I'll revise my opinion, you prObally have a massive short in your starter. Either this or a short in the positive lead (the one to the starter) only these sort of problem can cause enough current draw to melt the insulation in the earth lead. DON'T PUT IN A NEW BATTERY UNTIL YOU CHECK OUT THE ABOVE

No matter what the hell is shorting for you to totally melt the battery terminal is crazy!!!!
The only this I can think of is, the earth cable was lose. Maybe from driving the constant jolting woul have casued the terminal to create sparks, hence melting of the terminal???
The stuff coming out of your radiator, could mean you have a head gasket leak. Look under the radiator cap, is there a caramel residule on the bottom of cap???

lol payaya he means youkhunjeng wrote:lol at ppl posting suggestions after the issue has been resolved.
hahhah just stirring. btw payaya the stuff coming from his radiator looks like stuff that's been burnt/baked, i.e. it's most likely just normal coolient being burnt, rather than your slightly complecated theory of blown head gasskets lol, although a good suggestion, but the chocolate slugge doesnt "burn"/dry out nearly as easily as radiator fluid, and they dont look like that, they look more like solid chunks of sh*t rather than dried diarrea lol (this is talking from exp, the head gasket bit not the sh*t bit lol)
and just on that note guys, um... i've had a little bit of the "chocolate sludge" thingo stuck on the wall of my over flow bottle, as in it's alway been there since i got the car and it hasnt gotten worse or anything... does that mean that my car had a blown headf gasket but it's fixed now? (cos i have a fair idea of what happens when u blow the head gasket, but my car doesnt seem to lack any power compaired to what i expect etc..) correct me if i'm wrong please (just trying to learn

OK enough of hte gheyness. Sludge is usually from a rusted radiator and can cause over heating.
Flush it before it does overheat, if it hasnt already.

u just planned my next saturday morning for me

btw sry about the last post (stupid booze lol)
