Hey guys - around october im guessing so a few months ago, both of my headlights blew within about 2 weeks of eachother. I took my car to get re-gassed for its aircon and the guy changed my globes for me at the same time..
No issues till now. My left (lowbeam) light blew yesterday. i had my lights on and it was raining quite hard just before i went out on the road. I didnt hit any major puddles - just the usual splash back you would expect from the road after any downpour.
Its only been a few months ive had the globes - im hoping a faulty globe. Is there anything i should have checked out and if so by who?
Background: 1998 import - meaning the compliance shop changed my headlight set-up to H1 ?? or something instead of HB globes apparently.
Any suggestions would be good. I'm waiting to see if my right side blows soon too then ill know for sure there is something going on.

First thing to do is to make sure that when you replace the globes are absolutely clean. If you get them dirty (eg oil from fingerprints), they can cause the globes to fuse prematurely.
If that's not the problem, take it to an autoelectrician to make sure the wiring conversion has been done correctly. It might be that something is being shorted out and blowing the bulbs (eg if it's not sealed off from moisture properly). Another option is to upgrade the wiring to the headlight.
