Borrowing an ECU?

Hey guys,

A mate of mine has an FTO engine in his Mirage + needs to borrow the ECU out of my car.
I know he knows what he's doing (and I sure don't, but would like to learn), but how big a job is this? Simple plug and play, or a full day's work? Whad'ya reckon?

ecu is under the passenger footwell and on the left side... (just infront of the door and behind the plastic panel)
