LOL still got a week left to pay the fine so a quick reply would be much appreciated :D

Oh wait he also hasnt filled in my card number surely this is enough to get me out of it right???? Lol

A mate of mine got one that the copper hadn't signed. He asked another cop a few weeks later and he said its has to be signed, but my mate had already paid it.

I'm not sure about whether that would be enough to get you off, and I am not quite sure of the procedures about doing so either, you may still need to set a date for a formal court hearing about it. Sorry I can't help much more with it, there might be a free legal advice place in your area that you could ask about it, try checking the local community centres or something..

ok update on this issue for anyone who is intrested.

Although I claimed not be be exceeding the limit - def. not by as much as the guy reckons I went back to the spot where he busted me with these facts form the radar on the ticket..

Distance = 78m...which is normal on a radar to have speed and distance.

When I looked from where he sat...there is a crest which with the naked eye looks about 50m away...not to mention the line for trees and other sh*t in the way...line of sight isn't great.

I paced the distance...low and behold it was roughly 60m to the TOP of the crest...I paced about 80m and it was well past...I went to that spot and looked back (while stnading in the middle of the road mind u) and you cant see over it...if u can its only the windscreen...anyone knows that the radar need a solid metal surface for a good reading..

So the verdict is even if I was going over the limit..he didn't get me at 78m as its physically impossible. So my Barrister said..hmmm looks like we need to explore this further which we are.

Waiting for the reminder letter now, once recied we will object and off we go with our case. Its on baby.

Other factors that make this a little dodgy:

a. He wouldn't let me see the radar even though I persisted. Hmm i see why now cos there was no radar.
b. Its likely that he guessed the speed...which is fine but he wasn't following me...he was in a side street.
c. The ticket on says the name of the road - not the exact point. He think they might lie about the location later
d. We will claim partially he pulled me over cos I was driving a performance car without any real reason. We have some other supporting background info to add but not that intresting at this stage.

We are deciding if we will take this head on. I think we will, will cost about 5k I rekcon but thats no issue as long as we have a strong case we are going for it. If i win, no costs for me at all...thats a big if.

Keep u updated.

how about they spend more time pulling over
the unroadworthy & dangerous buckets of crap
instead of the well maintained cars :?
