100k service parts
Hey Guys,
My water pump sh*t itself last night so that's got to be replaced and I need to do my 100k service as well so I'm gonna know them over together.
As I'm getting all the parts required for the service I need to know names/brands and what parts to get.
So the water pump I'll get from the group buy but what other parts do I need. I'm replacing every belt regardless of if it needs changing or not.
Cheers
Chris

Just doing this myself. Defiantely worth getting cambelt and spark plugs yourself looking at Mitsi prices. Will probably put my own plugs in and let the garage do the rest.
Plugs that most seem to be getting for GPX are the NGK BKR7EIX or DENSO IK22. For GR - BKR6EIX or IK20.
Gates part No:T987 is a good Cambelt/Timing Belt for GPX apparently.
And yeah, Kempy's for the water pump, even if the GB doesn't go ahead, they're still a damn good price!

Oh I don't trust my mechanic ability as far as I can throw myself, so thats no far.Bennoz wrote:I dont want to dampen your spirits guy nor do I want to sound like Im doubting your mechanical ability, but changing the timing belt is not an easy job.... and if you f*ck it up, you can seriously destroy your engine.
But my neighbour is a mechanic and was talking to him yesterday about the water pump, he had a look and said I'll do it for ya, it would be a c**t of a job but he can do it.

I'm an honest person what can I say
Umm Joe I'm not sure I think I'm really pushing it to get him to do it.
But let me ask him.
Still not 100% on if he will do mine, but if he won't I know another mechanic that will do as long as I get parts

Will the GPX be the same?
