Door light sensor problem

Post by Shahrez »

A bit of an unusual problem. When my bass i crankin, the "door open" signal comes up on my dash and the interior maplight(lamps) turn on as if the door has been opened. I thought it was an electrical fault but it wasnt as i pushed the door from the inside and the light comes back on. I assume its something to do with the sensor. Does anyone know where the sensor is located or how should i go about this problem?

um... it's the little rubber nob thing that your door hits when u close it lol
(if u r unsure, open your door and start pressing things on the door frame thingo and u'll find it when u press it and the door open light turns off ;) lol, it wont be hard to find)

if it's not electrical in anyway, then just check that nothing to do with the sensor is loose (i.e. is the sensor sitting there tight, are the wiring to it loose)

i'm assuming that it's just the vibration from the bass that moves it just that little bit to make the light come on.

btw do your doors close properly? 8O

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia

Yeap i'll check what u said in a few hours. And yes the doors do close properly with no hassle. So i assume it's probably loose!
