Gday from USA

Post by iceman1 »

how ya goin blokes?
Say I stumbled along your club...I think FTO's are Mitsubishi's,,yea?

They look like Eclipse's in the states.

I am familar with the aftermarket and i was just in your country at the Melbourne show..

So are these eclipses? I have a 4th Gen with a Mivec 3.8L

Was wondering if they are Eclipses has anybody cracked the ECU?

I know the Mit brand in your country is in trouble...So we in the States are doing our share.

Here's my ride..

nah, FTO's were released quite a few years before Mitsubishi started making the Eclipses in a similar body shape... a few of us would love to own an Eclipse, 'tis a very nice car ... unfortunately they're not available in australia :(

Anyways, welcoem to the forums :) ... not sure if you will find many technical / mechanical similarities between the two cars, but it might be worthwhile having a look through the forums to check ;)

wouldn't mind seeing some more pics of the interior... 8)

The "how ya goin blokes" also makes me wonder how Australian diction is perceived internationally.

Yes remap...there is no new flash for the ECU, and plug n play piggy's are slow to market.

Thats why i inquired on the FTO.. Is the FTO a mivec 3.8L. The eclispe body maynot be released but the eng platform might be used.

So i'll refine my question...thanks

Sorry if i offended you... its what i heard when i was there...assumed its the speaking way for greating and such. To the guy with the International concerns...You are correct..we do think
Good day, Good on ya, Mate, off you go are phrases you use..So did I..

The Bloks and Shelia's I know is touristy..

The kangaroo comment you may be right ...we still rememebr Paul (Crock) Dundee...

Until u see your country and realize its big cities, mtn, sking, beaches n deserts...many have a different understanding of Austrailia.

looking forward to my return in Jan...

8O So basically everyone thinks we live in the bush, have kangaroos for a pets and ride around in their pouches and speak like the crocadile dundee?

bahahaha. thats funny

but i guess people from all countries are stereotyped in similar ways.
