hi all

there is a lot of questions about if the FTO GS.

1 : have they been imported in Australia.

answer: YES i have one, its a white 1997 1.8lt engine, manual.
imported in sep 2003

ive posted some pics up of the engine, its a little dirty sorry.

im actualy excited that its rare it might be worth somthing. he he .

Just do a engine conversion, get a twin-cam 4G93 turbo or even a 4G63, the 4G93 would be easier pretty much the same engine but twin-cam and turbo.

There are actually at least 4 GS imported into Aus.

Is there an FTO that was ever released in Australia? When I've been in Repco askin about parts they have a 'GD' or something listed in their books, I just figured that it was a 4 cyl native FTO, cause they usually don't list imports in their books... :?

No, not in Australia. Japan, New Zealand and later the UK, but not Australia,

    just wondering... what parts were u chasing?
    they didnt even have a timing belt for an fto last time i checked :(
