http://www.importfan.com/series.asp?Ser ... 496&2=1246

we sell it on our site for $599 US, but shipping can run an arm and a leg to austrailia.

Small covers , oem hoods , trunk are easy to make, we'de just need the original part and 3-4 months later we will have the carbon one in stock, we could exchange the parts for free, but there is a long time wait and we would not pay the shipping costs which could really add up.

Here's some of the carbon stuff we make... 520 different products..

We also do not have a distributor of our products in austrailia that I am aware of, once we we do I can refer you to them where Im sure the shipping would be less.

Well, if mikey does get it, i want his front end... it looks pretty sweet :)
Even though i don't have an fto yet, i can paint it :)

Were skinning a bear before it get's shot... sorry for all the bear conservationists out there... :P

Ted: Are you going to make more parts for the fto in carbon fibre?? Also when do you think you will get a distributer? Cos maybe the ppl that want these can wait and save a bit on shipping...

My friends have told me that they can get carbon fibre bonnets for the fto with various Evo style scoops from their connections in hk for about Aus$650. It is light enough to be carried through the airport and checked in.

If there is a large enough group interested in Sydney, eg 10 or more, I may be able to organise something in less than 3 weeks.

Hoods...

Post by importfan »

To make a double sided carbon hood, all I would need is a new hood from the mitsubishi dealer, we can add a scoop here, then produce the hood about 3-4 months to make and get in stock here at our facility.

We wouldn't need a group buy, just 1 metal OEM perfect condition new hood.

I don't know a lot about FTO's but I assume there is some dealer or shop in california that imports JDM Mitsu parts, we could just buy it from them since we are in california as well, but I don't know which shop does that.

Retail of $599 is what we sell scooped hoods for usually, but the shipping to austrailia would be a lot ,unless sent by multiple hoods in each shipment.

Dealers get a % discount.

to give you guys and idea on freight costs a carbon bonnet to the UK is about 600.00 in air freight charges. (from previous budgeting i've done)

i have plenty of freight contacts so if you guys wanted to do a group buy and didn't mind waiting 6 weeks we could ship via see for a lot cheaper.

i'm going to talk with Importfan some more and see if we can get a club deal going.

Can someone confirm or know whether or not if something like a carbon-fibre bonnet can be sprayed to match the colour of your car?
