Silver fto in Manila

Post by alekazam »

Yes that's right; in the Philippines! And it was left hand drive. I would of taken a pic of it, but carrying a dirty big SLR around that part of town is another way of saying 'knife victim'!
I also saw a red one in Bangkok and one in Brunei.

I thought FTOs only come in right hand drive. Maybe it's an import from Subic and converted to LHD. No, you won't get stabbed for carrying a camera but it can get snatched from you :P .

Anyways, its a nice country as I came from the place and lots of pretty women too. Plus the beer is cheap - 50 cents a bottle. Imagine getting drunk for less than $10.

Lots of car fanatics too. I'm just surprised that there is an FTO there.

i agree with you. The FTO is a rare car in the philz.

The beer is really cheap mate. You can pick up a bottle of san miguel for 5bux LOL but knowing us filipinos youd be best buying 4 bottles to keep the relatives happy

I saw an FTO in one of the slum areas of Jakarta, water half way up the 3 wheels it still had on it, tried to take a photo but all I got was bikes  got told not to wind the window down to take a photo by my driver, had only just arrived, so I obeyed implicitly heh... Tinted windows, heavy rain and hundreds of motorcycles made the view... obstructed to say the least heh.

I looked for it again on clearer day but couldn't find it.

You should never leave a caucasian woman (I am assuming she is caucasian, locals can usually handle themselves, I know mine can haha) in a south east asian country by her self for even a second, may as well just put a sign around her neck saying <MUG> ... or worse
