Re: new member
just on the topic of petrol. i usually put normal 95 octane and then put 98 octane like twice a week, is that bad?
or should i really be putting 98 octane all the time? its just i cant really afford premium all the time

Re: new member
If you can't afford premium, how can you afford a Haltech!?
Once that's in, then you have no choice. Use anything but premium or you'll be needing to fix a blown head gasket.

btw i ddnt say i was going to buy the haltech straight away, i was just looking into it haha to see if it was worth it.

Re: new member
btw Bennoz do you have any suggestions on what i can do to upgrade the exhaust system?
coz other members have been saying to upgrade the exhaust system before the haltech, so is there a specific mod i have to do?

2.5 inch mandrel bent system with high flow cat, resonator & muffler should do the trick!

Re: new member
Please only use 98, that's all it's ever drunk for the last 6 years And if your after power, using 95 will zap precious kw's.gpx000 wrote:just on the topic of petrol. i usually put normal 95 octane and then put 98 octane like twice a week, is that bad?

The FTO self adjusts to the different octane fules you use but it takes approx a whole take for it to get fully adjusted. If you are changing the fuel every other tank, it's never going to be running right.
use it less, save your pennies and only use 98 octane. I wouldn't even recommend 95 plus an octane booster. Aza tried an octane booster in his already 98 fuel and he lost kw's on the dyno...

Yep the octane booster is nothing but over priced sh*t. There may be some out there that will work but I have not found it.

Re: new member
crap crap haha sorry . well i only fuel once a week and i dont let it pass half tank.
last time i did that to my old car the fuel pump broke.
the car is well looked after since i leave it in the garage and only use it like twice a week.
thats why mileage is still low, im trying to keep the km's low
ill start putting 98 octane now.

Re: new member
sh*t, regarding the fuel input..
I am another culprit, I've had my GPX since Nov 2010, got told by the previous owner to only fill it up with BP 98, I done that but there's been a few highway cruises where i had no choice but to fill up with the shittest fuel, 3 full tanks worth.. Am i naughty ?
