Who has an ENGINE CONTROL BOOST SENSOR!?!?

Post by pearl_blu_fto »

I would love to know who has a spare or knows of a specific place to buy an Engine Control Boost Sensor! :) ?

I will try my luck with local wreckers who have any form of an FTO/s in stock...!

It is mounted to the firewall of MIVEC models ONLY... FYI :) Adjacent to the Intake Manifold is where you will find it situated ;) Along with a short hose connecting to the Manifold (to obviously gauge engine load via vacuum!)

Cheers in advanced Damo.

You mean the MAP sensor

Turbo's don't come standard on FTO's ;)

MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure) Is what you would call it, on the other hand i gave the part description as what this part was described as.

Turbo's aren't factory on FTO's ... Why would you say this? O.o ? Oh "BOOST CONTROL" Yeah hahahahaha.

lol, just looked it up on ASA, it is described as a Boost Sensor

But yeah, same thing really, just depends on what range of pressure it can handle, I don't know that the standard FTO 'MAP / Boost Sensor' would be able to interpret very much boost being that it's not designed for a turbo engine, but could be wrong. Often am ;)

Engine light came back up today and the revs stayed a little higher, so while this was happening i thought i would tap the MAP Sensor and presto the revs dropped back down to normal, so it's an intermittent fault with the MAP Sensor hehe.

    Hey Dwayne ;)
