Troubleshoot rattling sound.

Post by phunkydude »

Guys, whenever i step on my accelerator pedal there's a soft rattling sound came from somewhere behind the stereo unit.
Once i lift off the accelerator, it's gone immediately.

It happened at whatever speed. 0-100km/h
And no other symptoms other than the soft rattling sound. (sounds like metal wire hitting something at a very high frequency)

What's behind the center console that related to accelerator pedal or cable?

Thanks. :cyclopsani:

nothing really except for wires from gauges etc behind consol. Could pssibly be engine mount causing this or even throttle cable may be on firewall too

You may have a cd stuck back there. I had two there when I first got the cat and it sounded the same as you just said.
