as a small side note, get that leak and lower engine mounts looked at.

Otherwise, yeah nice and new.

How do the coil overs feel?

AJ, how do you think your HKS turbo set up would compare to a stock 6A13 turbo set up as far as power is concerned?
Thanks

Mate, it's a completely different beast now. Get down here and try it!

Thanks Dan, will do. It drives really well. When the roads are smooth it's like driving on silk, a little harsher on the rough stuff but not too bad. I have to learn how to get used to it and how much faster I can go in corners now.

Hard to say mate, I've not been in a car with a stock 6A13. If you're coming to the bonfire you can compare mine to Ben's. I'd have to say that I'd imagine that the 6A13 would be the more powerful, but it won't count if you can't get the power down. On my last dyno tune (before the work mentioned on the other page) it was running 173atwkw and now it's got a bit more than that and the computer is still to be bought and put in.

Mine might make about 220atwkw eventually but it'll be hard work, where as I imagine that the 6A13 wouldn't sweat too much to make that sort of power. I'm sure Bennoz can chip in here and correct me if I'm wrong.

2 very different engines. the 6A13 being a factory turbo makes it's power in a very lazy fashion.... small turbos spool up super quick & you're on boost at below 3,000rpm and off it by 6750rpm. Obviousy I've had mine tweaked up, but its a pretty easy going engine. Last tune up (which included bigger injectors, fuel pumps & a bunch of other stuff) gained me another 50kws ontop of what I already had. According to the Envy dyno (which reads quite high) I was previously making 230 odd kws, so now it should be around 280kws. That last tune I had done was on a different dyno, so its hard to compare numbers. However the figure everyone looks at is the torque, Somewhere near 600Nm.

I get very little traction in 1st & 2nd, even when the tyres are warms, so drag racing aint my thing. Circuit racing is treat though, I went round Evos, Skylines & the like as if they were going backwards last time.

Hmmm more confusion they both sound like very good setups its very difficult to work out which route to take originally I was looking at the 6A13.
But now I might look into having a set up like AJ's, cost would probably be a factor to. Might have to do some sums to see how they compare cost wise.
AJ im not going to be able to make the bonfire, but if we can tee up a time to meet at bens when I come to sydney next friday that would be good.
Failing that I could come to yours I would be very interested to see how it works on a tip box to.
Thanks

With the wife in work, and hopefully my funds improving, you might have a third alternate route to go.
Time will tell.

And I too AJ will be wanting to be taken for a spin in that!

Everyone is more than welcome to come for a spin with me. Also I'm happy for you to prod and poke around the car as much as you like, this is not my dads car if you know what I mean

Sweep, I can't make Friday 15th but can do the sat or sun that weekend. I think it'll be better for you too see both cars together.

I'll try to take pictures tonight but it'll be in my car park so might be a bit dark. Will also take more at the bonfire. What parts are people most interested in?

It sits at a good hight on the new coilovers. I didn't want it slammed on the ground. I wanted it to still be practical.
