Exhaust!
Kinda have few questions about the exhaust.
Now have HKS exhaust dragger system. Feel not satisfy enough with the sound.
Though lot ppl changing to deep tone exhaust, anyone modify it into very high tone sound? Any example for that?
want to sharp tone exhaust system which not losing to those straight flow exhaust!
Thanks

Re: Exhaust!
What kind of sound are you trying to get?
A friend had stainless extractors on his 6A12 and it gave the car a raspy sound, more like a 4 cylinder, if that is what you're after

Re: Exhaust!
Remove ALL the resonators including the muffler box and just have straight pipes..
Go to an exhaust shop and just tell them that and you will get EXACTLY what you want
Oh, and please post a video too, I really want to know what an FTO sounds like with FULL straight pipes!

Re: Exhaust!
Just like HKS dragger exhaust system, but in higher tone! haha, nt too sure about what kind of it. As never seen before yet, because most car modify thier exhaust with deep tone, not really like this kind of tone. should say something like jet/whistle sound!
haha!
After exam will go after the exhaust shop and request about it! cheers!

Re: Exhaust!
Can't get defected for not having a resonator, but it might put you over the 95dB mark... in which case you will be defectable...

Because I'm pretty sure I don't have a resonator.. Just a sports muffler..

Re: Exhaust!
Never heard bushido telling about defect stories - he has no resonators, he only has his apexi muffler.gpx000 wrote:no resonator?? haha isnt that illegal?? want the bloke to get done for defect? haha.Gholdwayne wrote:Remove ALL the resonators including the muffler box and just have straight pipes..

Im interested though in hearing an fto with only full straight pipes... But i think full straight piping exhausts are only good on turbo cars since the turbo kind of filters the super high frequency rasps from the exhaust ports... Unless you'd actually want that kind of sound

I am interested in having full straight pipes on mine though, but if I ever do it, it would have dual tips and the tips would have to be double lipped and perforated and to help a bit with the ultra raspiness. And angle cut to for looks

Re: Exhaust!
So you want something like this?

I can't find the newest one but you get an idea of the sound. It is running one resonator only.
