Not too sure what the previous owner has added himself and what is stock. Took some pics, can anyone tell me if the following are stock or aftermarket:
Front/rear bumper and side skirts.
K&N Air filter / intake piping
Cusco strut brace
Exhaust
35w HID Xenon lights
Rims
Also, i cant find where the air is supposed to be coming in from to the air filter. I follow the piping down to the bottom but it eventually just comes to a dead end pipe. Like its been glued shut Yeah I'm pretty bad with this stuff.
Last two pics are of where i traced the air intake to come from. Just a closed off box. Unless theres an open hole facing back towards the front left tyre which i cant see.
Basically, if the air box is stock, wheres the opening supposed to be. I cant find it.
Front/rear bumper and side skirts. [Stock prefacelift shape]
K&N Air filter / intake piping [Airbox and intake pipe are stock, the filter inside the box will be aftermarket unless it has been replaced]
Cusco strut brace [Aftermarket]
Exhaust [Aftermarket I think. Bit hard to tell from the pics, but stock system has twin tips on the drivers side which I dont think are in the pic. Probably just a replacement sports system]
35w HID Xenon lights [Aftermarket most likely when on pre 97 FTO (which yours is)]
Ummm, yep, meant to cover that as well. That pipe is supposed to keep going up in front of the radiator and feed out just in front of it at the top. What you have there is a mess. You wont be getting much air into the engine unless there is a hole there somewhere. Looks as though it has been blocked off.
Ahhh i went and checked, i found where the start of the intake is near the radiator. It looks as though its been cut apart just to the left of the glued up end. Just not sure where the previous owner has got air being redirected from then :/ Theres obviously a hole somewhere that i cant see. I'll have to find it tomorrow during daylight to see if its worth ripping out and replacing. Musnt be in a very good spot if i cant see the gap anywhere near the front mesh.
You can either rip out the pipes completely or replace the damaged ones. Ive got the missing bits if you want to go down that path, but if I were you, id just remove the pipes or replace with a cold air induction pipe feeding from the front bar.
