Manual Conversion and stuff..

Post by renzkuken1 »

Ok guys so i am doing a series of things to my car over the next 2 months.

-Manual Conversion
-Hurricane Headers
-High Flow Cat
-Take off my resonater again so it's a straight through pipe to quad tips sports muffler.
-Slotted and grooved groovy baby rotars + eueopean breakpads on the back (front done already)
-AB bonnet fitted and painted
-Haltech platinum piggyback ecu + tune
-New tyres all round.

Thoughts and feedback? :)

When you change your tyres, are you gonna get some different rims?

Also i don't think i have 2.5" exhaust.
Can someone quickly give me a run through of the difference it will make without turbo as i don't want to lose backpressure.
I will already be running straight through pipping from cat to muffler then quad tips. What would need changing to make this happen and what would the difference in my exhaust completion be with

Hurricane + high flow cat + straight through to sports muffler and quad tips in 2.25" oppsosed to 2.5"

with turbo, 2.25 will work, it will just restrict the exhaust pressure (squeeze your wiener when taking a piss and you'll see)

without turbo 2.5 will be best for the setup you're after

though youd probably need to throw a silencer in with that

Silencer won't do sh*t. My exhaust is illegal atm and i have a resonater on it..I'm taking that resonater off. It will be a beautiful rawr like it was when i first bought it again. :D
Goldy can second that.

2.5 if you are staying n/a. 3 if your planning turbo.

I guarantee no ones fto on the forums is legal. Any modification done to the exhaust without the stock muffler is guaranteed to get you over 89 decibels (aka the legal limit)
I've been defected for it and the chances arn't that high. Even if i do get defected again i will pay the fine pass the decibel test and have my exhaust remodified.

Sorry Chris but I agree..

I also agree with the xforce advertisement saying that a closed varex is

...dig this... here it comes... almost there... "...is quieter than stock" :thumright:

I know what my car used to sound like when it was bone stock and i know how it sounds now when the varex is closed with ->A fully upgraded exhaust system<- from extractors all the way to the tail end 8)

Have you considered:

Hurricane headers > High flow cat > 2.5" catback no resonators > varex muffler > quad tips ?

;)
