Manual gear change 'notchy'

Post by mr_andersen »

Hey guys,

I noticed driving to uni this morning that gear changes were noticeably more notchy than usual, even after the car had warmed up.

It has been running Redline MT90 in the gearbox for about 5000 km now.

The gearbox has always been a bit notchy, even before I changed the gearbox oil (which was clean when it came out anyway).

It's still 100% drivable and the gears don't slip out or anything, it's just a bit annoying is all.

I know the selector bracket on these cars is a POS. Could it be this?

It's a '96 GPX btw.

Cheers.
