Which hid?

Post by payaya »

Went through a massive puddle last week and it below both of my headlights!!

Thinking of getting a hid kit as they are not expensive.

I had hb3 (high beam) bulbs in place of my main driving lights (hb4). Any of you guys doing the same when using hids? Or is a hb4 hid bright enough?

Thanks.

Standard kelvin rating.

3000k - golden yellow
4300k - sunlight yellow (euro car's stock hid color)
5000k - pure solid white
6000k - slight blue tinge
8000k - little blueish
10000k - transparent glaring blue
12000k - purple tinge

Of course, not every hid manufacturer rated their kit that accurately. Hence there's slight different in color though rated as the same kelvin value.

Mine is 5000k in my sig.

I quite like my yellow Parker/8000k combo, BUT does anyone know if there are any hids that will fit into the Parker/foglight globes?
