a broken pole next to my wheel? updated with pics
so.. went to do a little service the other day, raised my car with a jack, and noticed a pipe thing hanging beside my wheel... had a look and realised it wasnt a hose, about 1cm thick pole (pretty sure its really really hard rubber) has broken and was just hanging beside my wheel (inside obviously), it has a joint in it.. so i bent it and pointed it in towards my car.. surprisingly as scary as it sounds i can drive with no issues? gonna get it checked out as soon as i have the time, any ideas what it could be? will try get a pic when i have time during the day

Re: a broken pole next to my wheel?
well i dont believe it was metal, was really stiff felt more like hard rubber not metal oO, and the only sound i ever get while turning, is my wheels scuffing the guard/arch things (17s =.=) so basically saying, if i didnt see it myself, i would not have noticed any difference, and still dontBearOnFire wrote:Hope it's not the drop links, dunno about the the hard rubber construction. I bet its your swaybar (which isnt rubber). Its about 1.5 cm thick and is about the only thing that can break without drastically effecting your handling.

That happened to me a couple of years ago. It will affect your handling a bit.

Not lubricating the swaybar bushes is a far more common problem...
