Flexible brake fluid hose - where from?

Anyone know where I can get some flexible hose to carry brake fluid or know what it's called/what it's ratings are etc?
Needs to be 12mm internal diameter push on and I will then be using hose clips, i'm relocating the brake reservoir.

Yes half inch, do you know where from as i've drawn a blank so far - even pirtek. I phoned them and they said they don't do brake fluid hose.

Havent taken off the master cylinder before, but doesn't the master cylinder have metal lines going to it???

Metal lines in/out of the master cylinder yes, but from the reservoir to master cylinder it's just 2 rubber grommet things and plastic push fit.
If I knew what the rubber grommets were made of I could look for some hose made from the same stuff.
Aparantly fuel hose will sweat brake fluid, from googling it seems I need some EPDM whatever that is.

EPDM is a M Class special rubber that doesnt stretch under pressure. its also very dense so it doesnt run the risk of cracking so much... ie, the surface is less porus.

used it on my dads old chev... cant remember what EPDM stands for.. but the E is because it has ethylene propolyne in it

Just googled EPDM, according to wikipedia it's also used in vibrators - interesting.

So now I know EPDM is the right stuff, maybe pirtek will stock it (I phoned them last week and they said they don't do brake hose but I didn't know to ask for EPDM) but I shall have to wait till monday to get in touch.

I have managed to source some though - from the UK, blow me down!
I've just received my nylon 12mm connector elbows - from the UK, welcome to Australia (well I think WA is worse to be honest, what do they say - Wait Awhile?)

So glad we've just had the first Masters open up here in WA, at least bunnings now have some competition.

That said I do love it here, i'm just a whinging pom when it comes to getting hold of parts and hate waiting.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree. What you should be asking for is half inch hydraulic hosing me think!

Went to a brake remanufacturer yesterday - they had the proper stuff but only in 10mm, he said I won't get it in 12mm.
I want to get this fitted today so going to buy some fuel hose from anywhere and use that until I can order some 12mm epdm in from pirtek or enzed, do you guys reckon fuel hose will be ok for a few weeks?

I did speak to a guy at enzed and he said they didn't have that size, although I may phone back as i'm finding a lot depends on who you speak to when sourcing stuff.

Just spent 2 hours driving around different stores and decided fuel hose is no good even as a temporary measure, got home and phoned enzed again (local branch) - no luck.
Was also told by one guy that he couldn't help me as it's illegal to mess with your brakes!

Phoned another brake specialist and told him what i'm after, he said he uses the clear plastic tubing nothing special as it's just gravity fed and not under pressure.

Thought I would just give Pirtek another try - no we don't do brake hose, try ....

So what about this clear plastic stuff if I can get that in the right size?
Or order some proper stuff from abroad?

Going to also give HEL a ring and see if they can help - EDIT:he just said use clear pvc, said it will harden and go yellow in time but it's cheap enough to keep replacing.

Screw this messing about, just bought 1 metre of EPDM 12mm internal diameter from ebay uk for approx $11.89 delivered, if I find some here before it arrives then fair enough I can get on and move the reservoir sooner but it's not worth all this hassle.

Edit: Just found the right stuff at Total Rubber, it's white wash down hose made from EPDM (EPDM is used in braking system seals etc), they also do some more extreme EPDM too so I phoned up to buy some - no I don't feel comfortable selling you that for use in your cars braking system (he asked me first what i'm using it for).
Tried telling him it will be ok it's EPDM, response: no it doesn't mention brakes, I don't feel comfortable.

Actually now i'm looking into this even more, it looks like most coolant hose is EPDM too so I should have just asked for some of that! (in fact that's probably what i've ended up ordering from the UK).
