I was thinking the other day about how we want to get more people along to cruises and other events, and to keep them coming back, and I remembered back to my first event, the Albert Park get together around October last year. Two things I remember very clearly:
1) I felt akward because I didn't know anyone, and kept forgetting their names
2) I wanted to find out what others had done to their cars and to learn
So here's my suggestion, and I raise it for discussion, so please feel free to have your say.
What do you think of the following ideas for cruises and events?
1) A sticky lable for a name badge with your real name and FTO forum name on it?
2) A spec sheet which you can print out and fill in with details of any modifications you've done to your car. You could then place this A4 sheet in your window, and others could read about your car. That way, if interested in any of the modifications, they could come and ask you about them.
I realise that for those who are regulars we know each others names and we know each others cars, but if we want the newbies and not so regulars to keep coming back, this could be a good way of making them feel more welcomed and a way to fit in easier.
So what are your thoughts?
