Kinda doubt it mate.
A lot involved, and especially if you've never done one on an FTO before.

If you don't know how to do it then don't do it straight out.
One tooth out and it may not end well.

Not so much the time factor, more the knowledge factor.

Could easily be done in a day.

But you do need to know what you're doing.

On that note, I dare say Xeno, you're better off with a knowledgeable mech.
There's a thread in the nsw section on trusted mechanics for these cars.

You responded same time as me, 'time response' was posted to Phil with his 'bonfire' remark, meaning a sleep over.

My 'bonfire' remark was for a major service as requested. :D Especially if you are just learning with direction.
Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, timing belt + pulleys, accessories belts, coolant flush, brake fluid change, tapet adjustment, hand brake adjustment, tyre rotation, brakes checked, lights checked, minor fixes etc

I done my first timing chain replace at age 20 on a Ford V8, you have to start somewhere :D
In saying that if your not confident to give it a go then don't :D

This is actually a pretty good list of what should be done.
That reminds me, there are still things on this list that I need to do.

Oh and off topic, - I'm guessing that the timing belt should be done again at 200thou kms yeh?

Correct. The timing belt should be changed at 100,000km intervals.
