Maybe they'll grow out of it?
I mean, we were all teens, most of us did some pretty stupid stuff, and most of us think to ourselves "what the hell was I thinking" so the teens of today should have such an epiphany too, right?

Maybe that's because every year you get older? ie, it's relative to your perception?
btw just giving an opinion. I don't live in Oz and don't know how things are there.

haha nah. like im 21, back in school, i noticed the year 8s (start of highschool) every year would get worse (as in.. every batch year by year) just more trouble makers... more stupid and incoherent seemed to grow that way lol

So what is it like in Australia these days?
I was there last year but in Canberra only and was shocked by how many people of questionable character asked me for $1-2 for the bus.
I'm currently in my home country (which I am not overly fond of) but on the plus side things like this don't happen. The "lower class" is much less prevalent and things like gambling are illegal, and drug trafficking/possession is a very serious crime (you'll be jailed for holding a joint). Recently a few kg of weed were stopped from entering and the news headlines read "Shipment of death found" 8O

Flip it, pop it, take it, drop it
Cut it, whack it, snort it, jack it
Light it, smoke it, puff it, choke it
Boot it, shoot it, don't dilute it

Up your nose, here we go!

Mmmm, acid...

I remoted into a PC at a Maccas store the other day & the kid that was on it, tried to disconnect me from it a dozen times, then told me to go f**k myself.
I rang his manager & had him sacked. More & more kids are learning the hard way!

To be honest I am gen y... though I cannot say I have the urge to defend my generation

Also, considering how cheap FTOs are these days it seems most owners would be gen Y
