Got one side in last night. Getting the stock bushes out of their casing was a pain in the ass as usual, the whole arm itself was a tight fit, but yes it does fit.
Only issue... my wheels dont fit
And I'll be fucked if I'm pulling these brakes off, so I'm going wheel shopping
New offset (anti lift) lower control arm rear bush:
The wheel fits under the arch ok, its the inside of the rim that hits the caliper. I need a bigger offset.
FTO arms should be fine, but as I mentioned you just need to modify the Evo IV ball joints to sit lower. 'Double clirclip it' was the term used by the guys @ Meek.
Here's some more pics. Its almost an inch I need to make up in offset
I reckon you could squeeze 17s around it. There's a good inch from the caliper to the rim.
Looking at the pics, is it more a matter of rim design than offset?
ie it looks like the spokes on your rims are quite flat due to the dish design, you need rims with more angle or curve in the spoke design on the inside. ie the same offset rims but with the spokes angled / curved to the outer edge of the rim might be better?

They're illegal, yes, im pretty sure, but wouldn't this scenario present an exception?
Bennoz on FB to this same question you asked on his picture gholdy  wrote:Couldn't do spacers, the lower control arm is 10mm longer than the FTO one. Just test fitting my wheels, they stuck out of the guards heaps lol
I've actually grabbed a 20mm set to test with today
I'm hoping that the angle of the assembly all dropped down (car is on stands) is causing the 'look' of being too wide (ie looking down from above & seeing how far the tyres sticks out)
So I'll pop these on & drop the car back on the ground. See if we can squeeze them under
At least then, I'll be able to measure the offset I need.
Just went for a drive & can I just say, those Evo control arms stiffen the front up to no end. Oh & the brakes are good too
Gonna roll the rear guards now & put the spacers on there, to even it all out. Hopefully by then the roads will have dried up a bit for more test skids.
