EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
We are trying to organize a group buy for the EBC Redstuff brake pads from Camskill; UK. Plan is to share the cost of shipping along with getting them cheaper than what we pay for those pads here in Au.
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m3b140s535p36 ... PX_VR_DE3A Front GPX/GPvR
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m3b140s535p62 ... _8_GS_DE2A Front GR, GX etc
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m3b140s535p39 ... DE2A_-_ALL
Estimated Price so far:
Front GPX/GPvR: $86
Rear: $46
The shipping price of 50 pounds is limited to 5kg only, so we know we will be paying extra on the shipping cost. But the more people we have, the cheaper it will add to our total cost after dividing that total shipping cost amongst us.
Now...list time:
1. Shadowarrior (Front and Rear) - Gpx
2. Sahin (Front) - Gpx
3. Bennoz (Rear) - Gpx
4. Aza (Front and Rear) - gpx/gpvr
5. rock_it (Front) - Gpx
6. Bi65nd (rear) - Gpx
7. Vipfto (front and rear) - Gpx
8. Daniel2019 (rear) - Gpx
Once we have slots filled up till 7, I will check if we are staying within the $1000 limit and open more slots. If anyone in slot 6 or 7 is buying more than 1 set, that's going to cross the $1000 limit so will work a way around that.
So, lets get the names in.

The price above includes currency conversion rate as of today through Anz. This price does not include any bank fees or local shipping cost (Qld>Nsw/Qld>SA)
I will add the share of bank fees (if any) to the local shipping amount later once I know the costs which you guys have to pay me later. (this is considering the total shipment comes to my place in Qld)
The other option is, the whole order gets shipped to a NSW address (Daniel/Aza?) and they ship our (Qld) and VipFto's (SA) part of the order. I will balance out my contribution for the local shipping against the bank fees accordingly.
In my opinion the second option will be better since NSW members save a huge chunk of local shipping cost as they have the maximum orders.

How are the EBC reds compared to the EBC yellows?

Re: EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
I've been running EBC RedStuff for 12 months now and couldn't rate them any higher.
Excellent bite from cold but when they heat up damn they bite hard.
YellowStuff is more track use / complete overkill for street.
Oh and I still have heaps left on the pads after 12 months, very worthwhile IMO.

I spoke to Mike today the Parts department manager and I have mentioned you are organising a group on these pads. He said if you email or give him a ring he will be happy to sort the forum a deal out. If you would like his direct number or email I can provide these.

@Sahin, I have read some good reviews about the redstuff, and they are suitable for road use. Yellow however is more for track days. Also, red makes the least dust amongst the three types I think
@Rest, do we have anyone else interested in the pads? Fto_gpvr? rock_it?

Re: EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
Just the fronts. Depending on whe n this goes through and total landing cost, I might take a second set of fronts for my Evo III

Re: EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
Sent an email to Mike (Camskill). Lets see if he can help us with some sort of a discount on this group buy.
Did we decide on the mode of payment? Something which hits us with the least bank fees/transaction fees?

Re: EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
Hi Guys,
Got a reply back from Mike (Camskill) and he has offered us a 10% discount on the whole order price.
According to him, the total shipping cost would be £75. (10kg's packed and Dimensions 30x30x30cms).
He added £30 instead of £25 in the extra shipping cost I think, so I have emailed him back to clarify.
So according to my calculations, the total should come to £359.03
110.22 rear X 3
275.16 front X 4
---
385.38 total
--
346.84 after 10% off
---
284.03 after vat disc of 62.81
---
359.03 (after 75 shipping)
Screeny of our group buy's shopping cart attached
Now.... how are we paying? Vectose' no fees credit card? rock_it's FX trade?
@rock_it let me know if you want to add the front set for your Evo.

Re: EBC Redstuff Brake Pads: Group Buy
May as well go the fee free credit card. A correspondent bank will charge about $20 for the .fx trade.
If I get two sets of pads, what is my total delivered? I don't have a calculator with me..
