Looks good, you should cover up the Samsung with nikko pen or tape it up and make it look less like you've duct taped a tablet into your car dashboard, also how do you get 4 channel sound wouldn't it be crappy 2 channel audio from a headphone jack on a tablet? Love to see the quality audio that puts out

Thanks guys
It's just using 2 channel audio at the moment, although somebody mentioned using a USB DAC. But I don't know if I will be able to get one working with it.

A USB DAC would be the way to go!

Looks great mate! What you can do is dismantle a genuine Samsung car dock and you will have a slim power connector with a ribbon cable and a line out.
@SilverGPX I have my tablet plugged into the AUX port of my $1000 head unit, which is tucked behind the tablet. Sound quality is excellent.

Most tablets don't allow you to use a USB device and charge the tablet at the same time.

Hmm... Would it be safe to wire the tablet charger to the constant 12V...
I'm wondering if it would drain the battery overnight, or if it would be fine...

I wouldn't, I would wire it to acc 12V, it sucks when your Batt goes flat.

+1 Just wire it up to Acc. and set up a profile in Tasker to turn everything off and go into a battery saving mode when it is not powered.

It's wired to ACC at the moment, but it's not getting enough time to charge as at the moment it's only trickle charging until my new charger arrives.

Still better than a flat battery. Take it out at night and charge it from PC or socket for now.

Charge it overnight incar with a 12v car trickle charger connected to your FTO battery.

Don't have one
I will just leave it for now, it will hopefully keep enough charge to last until the new charger arrives.

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
Used pvc tape around the top of the headlight.
Seems the seal on the drivers light has suddently failed as moisture was present this morning.
sh*t timing, can't fix till next year, and it'll just get worse by then.
