Was wondering that myself, an inverted shock has the body attached to the car and only the piston rod attached to the suspension/hub.
Yeah, just had a read of the BC website. It appears that the screw-adjuster is just a frame to mount to the hub assembly, and the monotube itself is inverted and sits inside the dust-boot and coil at the top. The piston rod then runs down through the centre of the adjuster frame and attaches at the base of the lower body.
It didn't say on the website whether these were a gas pressure-adjusted or rebound-adjusted monotube. I know we used to have gas pressure-adjusted monotubes YEARS ago when we were running the DeCarbon Monotubes, but now we're starting to build up the rebound-adjustable ones instead as they're easier to set up.
Just wanted to know from those who have the whiteline 22mm sway bar and bracket set up in there car?. Cant seem to work out how the brackets go in? any one got pics of this? thanks heaps. also benoz do you have a link and part no of those control arms above, Im in the process of gutting my suspension.
The key thing to check is that you have the offsets correct.
If you look at the stock brackets side by side, they look the same, but they are drilled to mount to the chassis rail with different offsets either side. This is where the whiteline and other similar brackets fail, they are identical side to side. This puts undue stress on the brackets and they fail.
