Opened the bonnet, verified my terminals are still connected.

Carbon wrapped my gear surround (poorly).

If you saw his toolbox you'd laugh too - it really is a miniature roll cab and chest - only thing missing is that it isn't pink! lmfao

Changed rear bank of lifters to Nason brand lifters and used Castrol Edge and my engine has not ticked since then! I usually hear a tick here and there, from the previous lifter sets I've purchased but it's been dead silent!

Very impressed with the combo.

Do you think the improvement is more from the lifters or more from the change to Castrol? i.e. have you used Nason brand or Castrol before in a different combo of lifters/oil?

Lifters! But the edge oil did quieten down my new lifters much quicker than anything else I have used before by a big margin. I have used every combo, and bought new lifters from all over the world, and there is no miracle cure, but this combo seems to work the best.

Except thicker oil :troll:

Me thinks next time I change my oil I'll change it over to edge and see if that makes a difference. Have been using shell helix 10w40 and it doesnt seem to be great in terms of noise. Recently just had the tappets adjusted, too. Cheers payaya ;)
