Do It Yourself. Feeling game try some of the mods outlined in here. Some of these can be peformed by novices others require a substantial amount of knowledge before attempting them
I checked the fuse. Not blown. Multimeter-ed it (ok so Dad did that. I don't own a multimeter). Getting power. So I got stuck in and opened it up. Holy crap it's dirty in there! Turns out the little plastic posts were fubar so I melted the top of the middle one with a soldering iron. Put it back together, sure it wouldn't work, BUT IT DID! Bloody brilliant Thanks again Phil. It's little victories like this that make the whole "I'm going to fix this car up myself" just a little bit less daunting.
