I love BSG, both old and new

I tell everyone that Katie Sackhoff is my future wife
Red Dwarf was/is hilarious. And don't start me on Torchwood. John Barrowman is frigging amazing at everything he does. I'm really enjoying his character on Arrow atm.
But I like Doctor Who more for it's seriousness and emotion. David Tennant showed everyone just how lonely the doctor is. Now Matt Smith is showing everyone how
mental and lonely he is

I have a 19 year old son who said all the same things ... oh it's crap, I'm not watching that. Scifi is stupid. Blah blah blah. And then he watched some. He doesn't say those things anymore. You don't have to be a geek to understand that it's the inherent emotions and values that make scifi what it is. Star Trek was never popular because they blew sh*t up. It was popular because it dealt with modern day issues in a futuristic and alien setting. It dealt with human emotion and interpersonal relationships between races/species.

In other words ... scifi is good sh*t
