Engine Build
Right so, Pulse does not want to take on my engine rebuild because it is already disassembled (which is fair enough, and plus theyd be a bit expensive anyway)
Does anyone know of a shop that will take it on? Or, does anyone here in NSW want to give me a hand (Will obviously pay cash)?
I dont really want to have to source another engine

Re: Engine Build
Cheers Frazwozzle.
So I need to get the heads and block done at a shop, as well as the port and polish, and then go from there?

Re: Engine Build
Thanks guys.
I will be taking the heads and block up when I can sort out a decent shop to do it.
Also tempted to buy a mivec engine with a collapsed big end bearing apparently, for $250 and just hand it over to Pulse

I have just contacted Thornleigh Cylinder Heads and am awaiting a reply. I would like them to at least do the head and block work and port and polish. If they can't rebuild it then thats fine, but I need a shop to do all the machine work and stuff.
I fix cars.

Re: Engine Build
I was quoted 1500 for the block and head work that needed to be done. That as a few months ago.Bennoz wrote:Nas is really good, but he aint cheap..Daniel2019 wrote:bass_twitch wrote:If I have a spare weekend around the time, I'd be happy to help

Re: Engine Build
The other alternative would be to re-assemble the engine kinda half assed (i.e. not torquing everything properly) and taking it to a shop.
Or, buying one with a collapsed big end bearing apparently, for 250, and just giving them that. Unsure of what to do at the moment.

Re: Engine Build
Well, if I cant find a shop to do it I'll still have a crack at it myself...Vectose wrote:What happened to rookie DIY engine rebuild?
The difference now though is that Ive started to spend some serious amounts of money on the build and I dont want to it and f**k it up then waste all the money I've spent.
