Yeah if I go for BC, I was preferring the BR because of the monotube design. Seems to be the only difference, plus supposedly BR is an improved version of V1. Did you go 7kg front and 5kg rear or changed spring rates?

I was going through Ohlin's website...to get a heart attack from the price :P..but they don't seem to list FTO. Funny, coz Nakaya Tune edition came with Ohlins.

The BR & V1 are completely separate product lines with the V1's being specifically targeted for street only use.

Stuck with the 7 & 5 springs for now. I rang JustJap this morning, he can get any number of different springs for them, so I might try a few. See what's a good combo.

My mate just got a set of those for his S14 a few weeks back, very nice looking units, quite heavy though!
He won't be putting them in for a few months though, as the certing cost is quite high, and would stick him to his stock wheel size until he can afford an additional cert :(

Are the BR coilovers the inverted ones or is that the RM series?

Yeah, and the RMs are tagged as 'specially for track and circuit use' so am staying far away from them. :)

Yeah man stay away lol

And can everyone just buy some BC BR's already, stop messing around with this spring/shock combo crap and what coilovers to get, and end this debate :troll:

Looks shiny :) Installing them yourself or getting them installed at a suspension shop with correct settings etc?

Also among those interested to see what your opinion of these are. Although I do remember your comment about "rock hard taiwanese coilovers" when someone brought up the PB Brakes suspension kit. http://pbbrakes.com/suspension-kits/mit ... n-kit.html

I'd be keen to try them out for something a little different.

You guys need to appreciate, I've been on this forum for almost 9 years lol. Been playing with cars for almost 20 years.

Sh*t changes over time. Back in those days most cheap coilovers came with 9 & 8 kgs springs like the Jap Spec Teins. Back in those days the Tawainese had f**k all experience in making coilvers... that was 10 years ago, you don't think they'd improve over time with experience?

I've only ever read good things about the BC coilovers. And the internet is full of praise for them.
Not really any bad stories (I think some people complained that the earlier models were noisy)

And really, it is pretty much the same thing. Monotube, 7kg/5kg, 1 year warranty... Eh, much of a muchness I guess?
