There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

Re: Custom Dials
On a brighter note I've got all the icons done, which means my base templates are complete *yay*
I know you all don't like the green, but I figured I'd finish out the set.
I'm off to see a stationary guy (yeah he moves sometimes smart arses) about printable vinyl, and other media to print these on. Just trying to find the best quality whilst keeping cost down. Gloss stickers, photo paper and laminating haven't been crossed off the list.
Now that I have the base templates I can start designing some more unique dials.

Re: Custom Dials
I thought the dial prints would have to be made from a special material so that the light shines through just the numbers etc.

Or at least have the numbers laser cut and stick it on a EL panel.

Re: Custom Dials
Hence the reason I need to look into what sort of media and inks I can use here at home.
All the warning lights shine 'through', so as long as the media isn't too thick they will work fine.

Re: Custom Dials
The KMC V3 dials were an identical copy of the AWD design bar the logo, so I don't see why copying the copied KMC design would be a problem.
Are you referring to this set by KMC:
Copied from AWD's design:
Or are you trying to produce a different set of dials based on this design from KMC (which has already been copied by RB Performance & sold here in the UK):
If you could replicate the top set, I would interested as am missing the volt and clock dials - I have a 2mb HQ PDF of them from a friend, but haven't found a suitable media to print onto.

Re: Custom Dials
I really like the third picture down, something ti do with the colours and angle of the photo make it kinda look like an expensive bently or something haha,
On the other hand I like where this is going, could someone, any one please send me a detailed pdf or some sort of detailed outline type thing as mentioned above, and I will take it to the guy down the road, he knows his stuff about stickers, vinyl, anything print, the works, and I will see what he has to say
But good work mate (: looks good, but in agreeance with most people, not too keen on the temporary green, but I like it

Re: Custom Dials
I had to stop working on these as real life kind of got in the way for awhile. I do plan of getting back to this as soon I can, it's just trying to organise around work and stuff.

Re: Custom Dials
You need to check out my "custom dials" thread. There are lots of different designs. Finding a set from AWD will be a challenge.
