I'd grind a slot in either side of the locknut, then get a big fuckoff flat screw driver with the hex shaft & lock a shifter on to it & twist.destinationtoby wrote:Yeah yeah I know, broke it.........Bennoz wrote:![]()
If I get the car to a mechanic? Would they have a drill strong enough to just drill the fucka out in 10 seconds? Or a tyre place?

Yep, as Bennoz said. cut 2 narrow slots at 180 degrees with an angle grinder. You need something metal that fits in the slots and spans both of them (a flat piece of metal 3cm wide and about 3mm thick would be about the size you are looking for). Use a shifter on that and it should come off OK.

But in seriousness can you bash a socket on? Also +1 on cutting slots.
Similar principle to stabbing a screwdriver through a stuck oil filter, just more of a PITA.

That pipe almost looks long enough to go to the front bar! Might be interesting to try and fit it somewhere though.

I prefer the setup where I got this flexible pipe from ebay (same that Vectose has), that connects from the front of front bar grill, to the stock intake hole thingy on the body of the car where the stock airbox sat in.

The shape is designed for maximum performance.Bennoz wrote:bjk wrote:Might be interesting to try and fit it somewhere though.

I have a couple of these waiting to put on too. Reckon I'll do the mesh for the non-foggies and polish headlights at the same time.shadowarrior wrote:I prefer the setup where I got this flexible pipe from ebay (same that Vectose has), that connects from the front of front bar grill, to the stock intake hole thingy on the body of the car where the stock airbox sat in.

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
I've tried it all man lol circle inside and out now. Nothing fits close enough to bash in. Even if I could there's not enough room because of the stud (reason for stripping it in the first place) nothing will go on the outside because there's 1mm clearance between the nut and the wheel. Can't grind slots any deeper without damaging the wheel.
Might just throw a Granada at it
