I don't know if I'd go as far as to say 'work'... but I cut a rubber boot mat to size and put it in.
I carry a surprising varied amount of crap in my boot.. had a damn lawnmower in there a few days ago, so it's overdue
I also hunted down a very annoying squeak 'coming from the suspension'...
Which turned out to be my jack moving around near the spare, so woo

Get customers with that happening all the time actually, pretty common.Moused wrote:I also hunted down a very annoying squeak 'coming from the suspension'...

Doesn't surprise me...Daniel2019 wrote:Get customers with that happening all the time actually, pretty common.
I had a clunking coming from the front right of my old car... Searched for ages and couldn't find it for the life of me..
Seemed to only happen at slow speeds... It was very odd.. .. turns out the plastic cover for my lugs was loose, and it was just clicking back and forth while the wheel spun

Have had the paper panel filter in for a while but washed out the K&N pod with some of the kit I bought a while ago. Thing was fiilllthhyyy. Getting the non-dust muck out was a little harder but it seems mostly clear now.
Bought a replacement K&N panel off ebay, should be here in a week or so.

Made a wiring loom with a relay to stop my new fog light switch from getting toasty warm. Replaced the blown light in the switch with two fully sick blue LEDs. Installed it all et voila, working fog lights.
LED ALL the things.

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
Installed a new 4CH Amp and ditched the head-unit.
Tried to get the horn working again but I'm thinking the horn's a dud...
Also installed new Fog lights, but I think they're too powerful, as the wiring to the relay itself is heating up quite a bit.
Also need to work out why my foglights are always on with the part lights...

Re: What work did you do on your car today?
Kind of had to tow it to the mechanic at 11PM last night.
Simon the head mechanic lives across the road from the shop and saw it on the truck, the convo went like this:
Me: "So I'm a few hours early for my WOF tomorrow..."
Simon: "Yup..."
Me: "You've been waiting for the day that my car arrives on the truck haven't you?"
Simon: "Yup..."
Water pump cracked :/
So while it's there it's getting the water pump replaced, the timing belt, and some of the seals done (half moon seals, rocker cover seals etc etc.
There goes the money for the paint job
