Fingers crossed there isn't too much wrong with it as he's going to have to get one of those RWC's isn't he?
I know it's not a real facelift it's a late 1994 GR, never supercharged a GR before so that should be interesting
Pretty sure that's Nomer's old car. He was given it by his sister and was in really bad shape when i saw it. I sold him the facelift front and his old prefacelift rheo had 1/8 bolts in it. Wiring for the fogs was a sh*t storm from someone putting HIDs into them.
Road worthy cert is $180 on its own plus whatever the repair bill is. Then it's rego on top of that at $706 a year. I'm going to say $2500 to get it back on the road just from what i saw of it a year ago.
Holy crap.
He's expecting rego cost but you always have that to pay right? (or rarely buy a car with 12 months rego left?)
Do you know what's wrong with it that will affect RWC?
I was surprised it was driving when i saw it. So many parts missing and i can't remember if his sister crashed it. There was damage to the front radiator support if i remember correctly. Did your son inspect it before he bought it? The lack of engine bay pics is concerning . You'll be able to tell when you see it.

It was on gumtree for $2300 and had an ebay starting bid of $1000 so we thought we might pick it up for somewhere in-between and if it needs a little bit of work then fine, he said the engine and transmission are fine and it was working perfectly before rego ran out. Just hoping there's nothing structural wrong with it, anything else and we should be able to fix it ourselves hopefully.
Will let you guys know how we go.
Yep, very few FTO owners will provide a RWC for a car that cheap, they know the costs are going to be enormous. The reason why mine sold quickly was because I included a RWC when selling it, I knew it would only cost a few hundred dollars as it was in good condition mechanically.
