Strkszone's '96 GPX
I imagine the styling is relatively controversial, but I think she looks alright.
Just finished getting bigger wheels to make her look more balanced. Now I'm probably going to think towards upgrading the interior a little bit. I don't want to go *too* overboard haha.

Nah, we've had worse.
Are you starting a thread or is this just a show picture?

Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
I still have a soft spot for the Lambo doors...
You may see a little hate, but screw those guys...
If that was mine, I would go a Tan leather interior for seats, dash doors and all plastic parts there off. And a light tan suede roof and carpet..
But that is just me...

Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
Was going to do it to Bobby ... But the Evo/GSR is already the project car.. + the bike, and the Swift ... Just not practical to have another FTO ... But maybe one day ... Will see how it goes... I do miss the FTO, and since Long (FRE55H) sold his, I haven't been in one in ages...Technikhaus wrote:well buy another one and do it!rock_it wrote:I still have a soft spot for the Lambo doors...

Screw what's practical!! I say you go for it! No one EVER gets an FTO for "practicality" x]rock_it wrote:Was going to do it to Bobby ... Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
Not the practicality of the car... The practicality of having so many cars, and no where to store them .. Plus all the rego's add up ... With what I pay for Rego's at the moment, I am already buying an FTO every year..Strkszone wrote:Screw what's practical!! I say you go for it! Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
Yeah Rego prices in Australia are fucked. In the states it's like what $50 bucks rego and $700/yr for liability with green slip included. Such a rip off, insurance companies xD

Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
$75 for three months rego here, and that's dropping by around $15-$20 in July
No insurance required here though, which is kind of scary, and comprehensive is around $1100 for a year.
So not quite as bad as Aus...

$300 or so for a year of rego, $700 greenslip, and I pay $700 for 3rd party fire and theft insurance a year. Comprehensive would leave me limping lol.

More to come... but here's a little teaser. She's getting wrapped in 3M and will debut in an Auto Show in Sydney on the 26th of July

Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
Vinyl by:
3M - $2840 (mine)
Oracle - $2010
Arlon - $2215
Avery Dennison - $2250
Wasn't quoted on Hexis, but they do it
If not wanting the inside door jambs to be done, just exterior -$300 from price (I have scissor doors so
that's why I"m getting them done too)
Ceramic Pro Coating - $400 (if not with wrap, it's $530) / (mine)
Window trims getting repainted - $100 (mine)
All in all $3340. It's also worth noting that I'm getting a few extra features thrown in for free because
they want to enter my car into an Auto Show in Sydney for advertising, so they're doing my wheels ($320 value),
added the Ceramic Pro Coating to the Glass as well. They've taken real good care of me, so quite happy with them.

Re: Strkszone's '96 GPX
Door jambs have been completed, kickplates installed. Next up is to dip/wrap the wheels!
