Re: Final Details "Cruise To Bonfire 2015"
SO EXCITED!!
Now I face the next dilemma... Which FTO to prepare/fix to take to the bonfire!?
Here's my situation:
GOLD FTO (ROCKET):
THE GOOD:
- Brand new BC coilovers (no more fucked shocks yay)
- All bushes etc replaced so handles well
- Pretty much new Bridgestone RE002 tyres so it grips well
- It's not obnoxiously loud so hopefully it doesn't get McEvoy'd
- Looks really pretty
- The auto box means Amy can drive as well
THE BAD:
- Gauge cluster lights stopped working (it's the fuse but it keeps blowing)
- The tail light fuse keeps blowing as well so I can't drive this one at night
- Radiator needs welding
- Should probably replace alternator belt (it's super old)
- Needs oil/filter change
- Needs pretty much a full service
- Motor seems to be running quite rough and it's slow as all sh*t for some reason (alongside other auto GRs it still gets left behind)
THE VERSION R (TIFFANY):
THE GOOD:
- The motor runs really smooth
- 5 Spd manual means lesser fuel consumption when travelling on highways etc
- Doesn't have subwoofers in the boot so it can carry more luggage
- It's quick as f**k
- It rips great skids
- The interior isn't falling apart
THE BAD:
- Front passenger brake line has split for unknown reason (raised suspicion about condition of the other lines) and needs replacing ASAP (it's off the road)
- Major clunking when cornering resulting from the 1.5 way LSD
- Really cheap quality tyres (Bob Jane all-rounders)
- Coilovers are really rough (even on softest setting) and they clunk a fair bit (must be old)
- Only one HID works
- Amy can't drive manual so we can't alternate driving duties
- I think it needs rego
Based on this info; which one should I prepare for the trip? Which FTO does everyone want to see at the bonfire? This is the greatest first world problem I've ever had

Yes your car please. Having said that though you may end up with some stone chips in your brand new paint
I fix cars.

That's true.. but would be a shame to get stone chips all through your good paint!ObsidianRadio wrote:Nothing that can't be fixedDaniel2019 wrote:Yes your car please. Having said that though you may end up with some stone chips in your brand new paint
Also, I'm sure your missus would be able to drive OK along the high way.. would just be in 5th gear the whole time!
I fix cars.

Re: Final Details "Cruise To Bonfire 2015"
One thing I haven't organised is our meeting time/place on Wednesday morning in Adelaide.
Does meeting at Kiz's place at 8am for a leaving time not too long after sound good?
Also I have to pack the FTO today, I'm working Mon/Tues and leaving for Adelaide after work Tuesday.
