I just can't make up my mind if I want to keep the original rims or do something to them

What you want to do is run Evo IX rims.
Those dark coloured ones with thin spokes

Call a number from a truck company and tell them that a rock chipped your passenger window... maybe they'll replace it for ya ;D... Probably best to find a truck with a phone number while on one of their routes so you have a time and location to refer back to... just a though (;

Could be worse, when I bought my FTO she came with an oil leak in the rocker covers and an exhaust leak. Gave me a good excuse to upgrade to stainless steel exhaust though (;

New wheels aren't that expensive and there's a good selection of affordable ones.

There is a DIY...
Bit of a time consuming job the first time round...
But read the DIY so you don't take off more than you need...
Off memory, there is 1 bolt in the tip of each front Guard. The few bolts under the hood, between the tops of the lights. And 2 (maybe 4) that are underneath the car on the chassis rail ...
