Re: destinationtoby's GPX
Just an update on the plasti dip for anyone interested. Been near on 6months and she's held up the same as it was when it went on. No fading or peeling, no issues with stones or bugs & washing etc.
For what it costs, it's a Great idea if you want a colour change but don't have the cash for a respray, but it doesn't look Half as good as a decent paint job
Also the new engine is running great, noticeably more responsive over the last one which was abit sluggish when comparing.

Re: destinationtoby's GPX
Jaan peeled the old plasti dip off and we gave it another coat of matt black with some red sparkles mixed into a top coat of glossifier. He likes it, I reckon it ruins the whole fking car making it look tacky & cheap, which it is
But here's the pics.

Doesn't look half bad, did you buy the plastidip car kit or just the dip as you can get better guns for better coverage

4litres of black, 4litres clear & a packet of sparkles poured it straight into a normal gravity fed spray gun.Scorpionwally8 wrote:Doesn't look half bad, did you buy the plastidip car kit or just the dip as you can get better guns for better coverage

Re: destinationtoby's GPX
I have a feeling this is where she'll be laid to rest in the hands of a highschooler.
Rip the fibreglass sh*t off and go back to stock panels, fresh respray and she'll be good as new. Motor is strong, with genuine really low kms
